FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION PUNCTURE (PAAF)
Fine needle aspiration punctures are performed on breast cysts and thyroid nodules, but can also be performed in other parts of the body if necessary.
CORE NEEDLE BIOPSY (BAG)
The core needle biopsy is performed under medical judgment, after performing a mammography and breast ultrasound. If any abnormality is found, a sample is taken and analyzed. It requires fasting for at least four hours before the test.
